It's been a quiet, quiet week.
We went to Piha for a few days. Beaches, waterfalls and what might as well be rainforests. It doesn’t get much better.

The gurgle of a river running down a hill (and a waterfall)
The roar of the ocean, the crashing of waves.
The sounds of various native birds singing in the rainforest (not sure if it was really a rainforest, but it might as well have been)
WHAT I’VE GOT COMING UP:
Yesterday, I wrote up a couple of end of year/best of year music lists for some different websites and forums. I’ll include them in Selected Works after they’re published. I also filed the latest installment of my new music column for Dazed & Confused. As always, a nod towards ten emerging musicians from around the globe who I think deserve a bit of extra shine. One other thing, last week I wrote up the release sheet for an amazing UK street soul 12” reissue. More on all of this soon.
